Enter to the game setting and go to "AI batting". Modify everything to 100.
Better chance of hitting a homerun:
Hold Left Analog-stick Up. This works well when using a power hitter.
Running into the catcher:
When running home, hold Square and the baserunner will knock the catcher over,
and possibly drop the ball.
