Cheat code screen:
Select "Game Status" at the options screen, highlight any of the
characters, after press L1 + R1.
Note: You can use these codes only once.

Disable wheel attachment icons: Enter "DRIVE_ONLY"
Faster cars: Enter "MORE_SPEED"
Heavier cars: Enter "GO_RAMMING"
High suspensions: Enter "JACK_IT_UP
Invincibility: Enter "ELBICNIVNI"
Lighter cars: Enter "HI_CEILING"
Moon gravity: Enter "NO_GRAVITY"
No delay when shooting: Enter "RAPID_FIRE"

Listen to your own music
Pause the game play then replace Vigilante 8: Second Offense disc
with an audio CD then resume the game.

Change vehicle color
Highlight a vehicle at the vehicle selection screen and push Circle

Get access to original levels
Pause the game play, remove Vigilante 8: Second Offense disc, then insert
the original Vigilante 8 disc. After that, you should see "V8 levels enabled"
message. Insert the Vigilante 8: Second Offense disc again. Leave the current
game to access the original Vigilante 8 stages.


Unlock extra characters
Complete the following objectives to unlock each character:

Drifters

Unlock Chassey Blue: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Astronaunt Bob O,
Garbage Man, and Agent R. Chase.

Unlock Padre Destino: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Chassey Blue.

Unlock Dusty Earth: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Padre Destino.
Note: You can't play in Quest Mode with Dusty.

Vigilantes

Unlock Houston: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Sheila, John Torque,
and The Flying All-Star Trio.

Unlock Convoy: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Houston.

Unlock Dave's Cultsmen: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Convoy.
Note: You can't play in Quest Mode with Dave's Cultsmen.

Coyotes

Unlock Lord Clyde: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Nina Loco, Molo,
and Dallas 13.

Unlock Obake: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Lord Clyde.

Unlock Boogie: Complete all tasks in quest mode with Obake.
Note: You can't play in Quest Mode with Boogie.
