Pickle Wars cheats and cheat codes for PC

Here's a pretty oldy shareware game with some very annoying SFX -
even with  SBPRO!!!   This edit this will bestow upon you maximum
health (carrots) and maximum shots (Salad Shooters). The maximum
for the latter of these is 9999 and for health it is supposed to
be 999.   However by using this edit you can make both figures
9999 all  the same.   The  major drawback  is that as soon as you
collect a  carrot you health total will jump back to the in-game
total of  999 so you either accept this or attempt to dodge all
carrots for the whole of the game  (probably all but impossible!)
Its a  nice simple edit to do.  First of all load up Pickle Wars
and start a new game.  As soon as you like save the game in slot
one   (the top  one)  under any name then quit back to DOS.  Now
load up  a Hex-Editor  such as  the one  in Norton Utilities
and from within  that pop-up the file SAVE1.PW1 from the main Pickle
Wars directory.  Now make your way to Hex Offset 0022 and change
the resident numbers there to :

0F 27 0F 27

Now save  the changes quit back to DOS reload Pickle Wars
and restore your  saved game  ready for  an easy  breeze to  the last
level...


Open a Hex-Editor, load a savegame (SAVE?.PW?).
