Gears Of War cheats and cheat codes for PC

Cheat mode:
Always make a backup copy before edit a game file.

First locate the "WarInput.ini" file in the installed game directory.

You will find in the following folder on Windows XP:
"\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\My Games\Gears of War\"

You will find in the following folder on Windows Vista:
"\\Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\Wargame\Config\" -

Open the WarInput.ini file with a text editor (for example Wordpad).
Add or change the following lines in the file.

Save the WarInput.ini file, then start the game.

While playing the game, press ~ to bring up the console window then, type any
of the following cheat codes.

Note: After activated the cheat codes, you will not be able to unlock
achievements anymore.


Quick cheats:
Create a new text file with notepad. Type in the file any of the cheat
code console commands on each line. Save the file in the
"\Gears of War\Binaries\" folder and give cheat.txt as a file name.
While playing the game, press ~ to bring up the console window then type
"exec cheat.txt" as a console command to activate all those codes at once.


Unlock Insane mode:
Finish the Campaign mode on the Casual or Hardcore difficulty
level to access to Insane mode.

Complete the following achievements to unlock Microsoft Gamerscore points.

Completed Act 1 on Casual (10 gamerscore points):
Finish Act 1 on Casual difficulty mode.

Completed Act 2 on Casual (10 gamerscore points):
Finish Act 2 on Casual difficulty mode.

Completed Act 3 on Casual (10 gamerscore points):
Finish Act 3 on Casual difficulty mode.

Completed Act 4 on Casual (10 gamerscore points):

Mercenary (10 gamerscore points):
Finish All acts on Casual difficulty mode.

Perform 5 perfect active reloads in a row on any difficulty mode.

Zen and the Art of Reloading (10 gamerscore points):
Perform 25 perfect active reloads on any difficulty mode.

Not So Serious ... (20 gamerscore points):
Kill 10,000 people in versus player match total.

Mix It Up (20 gamerscore points):
Win a ranked match in every versus game type.

Don't Hate the Player (10 gamerscore points):
Finish with the highest points in a ranked match.

Domination (20 gamerscore points):
Finish 10 different co-op chapters as Dominic Santiago on any difficulty level.

Clusterluck (20 gamerscore points):
Kill 3 enemies at once 10 different times on any difficulty level.

Dom-curious (10 gamerscore points):
Finish 1 co-op chapter as Dominic Santiago on any difficulty level.

Honor-Bound (20 gamerscore points):
Recover two-thirds of the COG tags on any difficulty level.

For the Fallen (30 gamerscore points):
Recover all of the COG tags on any difficulty level.

I Can't Quit You Dom (30 gamerscore points):
Finish all acts in co-op as Dominic Santiago on any difficulty level.

Can't Touch Me (20 gamerscore points):
Award if win 10 ranked matches without losing a round.

Around the World (20 gamerscore points):
Award if win a ranked match on every versus map.

Always Remember Your First (10 gamerscore points):
Finish playing a versus ranked match.

Broken Fingers (30 gamerscore points):
Beat a Corpser on Hardcore difficulty level.

A Dish Best Served Cold (30 gamerscore points):
Beat General RAAM on Hardcore difficulty level.

My Love for You Is Like a Truck (30 gamerscore points):
Beat a Berserker on Hardcore difficulty level.

Seriously ... (40 gamerscore points):
Award if kill 10,000 people in versus ranked match total.

Complete the following tasks in 100 multiplayer (Player or Ranked) matches
of 3+ rounds.

The Nuge (20 gamerscore points): Kill an enemy with the Torque Bow.
The Money Shot (20 gamerscore points): Kill an enemy with a headshot.
Pistolero (20 gamerscore points): Kill an enemy with a pistol.
It's a Massacre (10 gamerscore points): Kill an enemy with the Chainsaw.
Is It a Spider? (20 gamerscore points): Kill an enemy with a grenade tag.
I Spy with My Little Eye (20 gs points): Kill an enemy with the Longshot.
Fall Down Go Boom (20 gamerscore points): Kill an enemy with the Boomshot.
Don't You Die On Me (10 gamerscore points): Revive a teammate.
Don't Hurt 'Em (20 gamerscore points): Kill an enemy with the Hammer of Dawn.
