Press Y then F4 to increase your altitude before you've taken off.
When you want to stop going up, press Y again. Anytime while
playing hit "y". You should stop and so will everything.
On the top it will say "slew". Then hit either F2 to go
forward or back and F1 to stop.
Or hit F4 to go up or down and hit F3 to stop. Use the arrow keys on
the keyboard or use the joystick when you are in "slew" mode to go
forward, back, right or left. When you are done press "y" again.
